Alexander V. Gofman

With over two decades of coaching experience, Alexander V. Gofman embarked on his fencing journey in 1993 when he relocated to New York. Here, he honed his skills under the guidance of his father, Vladimir Gofman, a renowned coach celebrated for his successes on both national and international stages.
Alex’s early involvement in coaching, assisting his father, set the stage for what would become a highly accomplished coaching career of his own.
Throughout his coaching career, Alex has achieved remarkable results, nurturing numerous national epee champions. Notably, one of his students earned a place on the esteemed USA Junior National Team.
Beyond their fencing achievements, many of Alex’s students have gone on to secure admission into prestigious Ivy League universities, a testament to his mentorship and their holistic development under his guidance.
In addition to his coaching accolades, Alex himself boasts a Junior Epee National champion title and a noteworthy participation in Senior world cups, further solidifying his reputation as a formidable presence in the world of fencing.
